VR46 on Valencia: At this track I suffer a bit

Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) goes into the final round of 2016 after another impressive podium in Sepang, as the Italian legend took P2 in the rain-affected race to also confirm second in the standings for this season. A track that usually challenges the 9-time World Champion, Valencia is one of those on the calendar where Rossi’s record is bested by those with whom he shares the grid, but the rider from Tavullia is fired up to get another big haul of points to close out the season on a high – ready to try the new YZR-M1 in the first testing for 2017 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Valentino Rossi: “For me Valencia is always a special race because it is always very challenging. Usually on this track I suffer a bit and it's not good for me. For this reason I want to be as strong as possible during this weekend, working well with my team and get the best possible result. We are still fighting for the constructor‘s and the team‘s championship, so I will do my best to collect important points. After the race I will finally try the new YZR-M1. I am very impatient to get to know next year‘s bike!”
